John Wick: Chapter 4(2023)review:highly overrated

As an avid fan of Keanu Reeves and Donnie Yen, I must admit that I was utterly perplexed by what I just witnessed. In fact, at certain points, I found myself laughing uncontrollably at just how ludicrous some of it was!

While the first part of John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023) was fairly decent, the second part was rather mediocre, and the third part had me clenching my teeth in frustration. However, it is the fourth part that truly tests your patience and leaves you feeling sorry for yourself for continuing to watch. The plot is incredibly lackluster, and although the action scenes are meant to be the main draw, they become so repetitive that they quickly lose their appeal. Furthermore, there are no meaningful dialogues to speak of, just endless scenes of killing, fighting, and bloodshed.

Throughout the entire film, Keanu Reeves’ character appears older, slower, and more worn out than ever before. The plot seems to consist of nothing but a series of loosely connected scenarios that serve no real purpose other than to facilitate more killing. Unfortunately, there’s little realism to be found in John Wick: Chapter 4 compared to its predecessors. There’s no real story line, just an endless stream of fight scenes that fail to elicit any real emotional investment in the characters.

I became increasingly frustrated as the film progressed, particularly during the 20th time that the main character fell down the stairs. It became clear that the filmmakers had little regard for the audience’s intelligence or patience. It’s disappointing to see a film with such potential fail to live up to expectations. Unfortunately, it seems that people have come to expect very little from movies these days.
